Mon Jan 30 (Ohiwa Family Holiday Park):

A free day, most of us just walked along the beach or visited an old Pa (Maori fort) site.

We almost had the park completely to ourselves since school was starting in a couple of days so many of the families left today.

Carole and Jenni had befriended a woman the day before while shopping in Opotiki and had been invited to her house to see the garden.  So several of the group had a great visit and in addition, returned with a wonderful home-made chocolate torte.  This was a welcome addition to the dinner served by Robert and Eric:  fruit salad as an appetizer and curry chicken over rice.
